The unique perspective they have is created from their experience from both sides of the media equation: Media Sales/Management vs. Media Planning/Buying. Working together, they make a difference for their clients as they manage all the different relationships in the media strategy equation.
Lots of ad agencies have media buyers. Some agencies have really good media buyers. But we have Teri Buonasera. She’s not only an outstanding, experienced buyer; she’s a true media strategist. And when it comes to negotiating, Teri gets what she wants and more. In fact, she’s developed and implemented more plans and places more advertising media than any other media director in the state of South Carolina.
Our President, Howard Buonasera, has more than 30 years’ experience in the advertising industry. His outstanding performance record is due to his ability to acquire the resources required to create and sustain productive relationships with co-workers and customers – both cable operators and advertising clients – throughout the Southeast and specifically in South Carolina.
With over fifteen years in digital and print media, our Vice-President Lauren Libet is a marketing and thought leader. She is deeply insightful and committed to overall campaign and client success.Her vast business experience, marketing prowess and digital acumen allows her to assess a situation from a true solutions standpoint, focusing on both intermediate and long-term performance indicators.
Jennifer has 10 years of experience in advertising, media sales and sales management. She has worked extensively with both traditional media and setting up and managing strategic digital campaigns. She connects the digital dots in the consumer journey to make sure campaigns are set up to track overall success of the path to purchase. She’s a true advocate for her clients and is passionate when it comes to creating innovative, thought provoking campaigns that generate positive results; making her a critical member of our Digital Advertising team. Jennifer is a proud alum of The University of South Carolina and lives in Forest Acres with her husband, Eric and their two children.
Sheila has over 25 years’ experience working in media advertising. Her career started at the local ABC affiliate in Florence, SC, where Sheila grew up. She was recruited by Howard Buonasera to join Carolina Cable Advertising, a start-up division of Liberty Corporation, which later became CableVantage. She moved to Columbia when the traffic department was consolidated and quickly grew to handle ad sales in more than ten (10) cable systems. Sheila excelled in managing her department and supporting the sales teams companywide. Sheila grew her role and contribution as the company evolved to Time Warner Cable now Spectrum Reach (Charter Communications). Prior to joining Buonasera Media, Sheila was Pricing, Planning, Inventory Manager for four (4) DMAs for Spectrum Reach. Sheila is a detail-oriented team player with a passion for the business. She understands the need for accuracy and has a flare for creating advertising schedules be it GRP or Impression based using data analytics that target the desired audience. Sheila is excited to rejoin the Buonasera family. A resident of Columbia SC for over 20 years; she enjoys connecting her work life to charitable causes and especially loves stargazing and walks with her two adored 12-year-old dogs.
Tammy LeGlue brings over 25 years of experience in the media industry to Buonasera Media Services. Her background includes both traditional broadcast television and digital advertising. Tammy’s deep commitment to client success has driven her career accomplishments. Recently, she has worked with Major/National accounts in the healthcare industry meeting client needs and providing them positive results. Tammy brings that expertise to Buonasera Media Services’ clients.
Tammy lives with her family on their farm in North Carolina where she is involved with her local church and is a member of a small orchestra. Her other hobbies include amateur photography, beekeeping, and kite flying.
Mary Karl has 20 years of experience in advertising, marketing, online marketing, customer service and sales support. She has extensive experience managing Major and National retailers across a multimedia product portfolio. Mary Karl is skilled at maximizing customer service and satisfaction through meticulous project management as well as proposed diverse ad solutions to clients based on needs analysis and product knowledge to maximize return on investments. She is passionate about her clients and works diligently to make sure all details of campaigns are met.
Mary Karl is a Columbia native with deep roots in the area. She and her husband live in Northeast Columbia with their daughter who is a Junior at Blythewood High School. Mary Karl is a 3rd generation graduate of Converse College and is a very active member of her church. She loves spending time with her family and traveling to the mountains and beach. Recently she has discovered a love for gardening.
